Q: When did you join The Standard Chartered Private Bank? Where did you join us from? Please give us a brief description of your previous role.
I joined The Standard Chartered Private Bank in July 2006 from Standard Chartered Bank International Banking (Priority Banking).
I joined Standard Chartered Priority Banking in Singapore in October 2000 as a Relationship Manager handling the Indonesian market for two years after which I moved to The Standard Chartered Private Bank when it was launched.
The Private Bank offers a more sophisticated product suite for customers and it allows for a more personal client service relationship.
Q: What positive experiences have you had since joining the Private Bank?
I have been exposed to a new product suite available in the Private Bank that would add value to my clients. I have also established a better and focused relationship with my clients, which, in turn, has generated more revenue for the Bank.
Q: In joining The Standard Chartered Private Bank, what professional opportunities were made available to you that may not have available in your previous role(s)?
I have expanded my product knowledge, and benefitted from great career and personal guidance from my colleagues and managers.
Q: What advice would you give to colleagues who are looking to change roles across functions / geographies?
For new joiners, it is important that you join a Bank that gives you the opportunity to continuously grow together with it. I am growing with the Bank and with my clients to develop a more established long term relationship with them so they will be able to pass on their wealth to their next generation.

The Bank is in a great place. The Standard Chartered Private Bank is a growing Bank with boundless opportunities and challenges for every employee growing with it.
